We are looking to hire a content Development & Social Media Manager to work at our office based in Westlands Nairobi.
Responsibilities or Roles:
Development of Content Calendars
Creation, development, and editing of high quality content/blog posts, web copy, product reviews and general –SEO optimized articles for various activities related to online marketing (for websites & social media), while employing good search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
Updating content for websites.
create web content based on analytical reports, press releases or survey reports and present them in a lucid, simple, easy to understand language.
Managing content on social media
Develop unique ideas for web content
Validating contents for accuracy and usability using support communications and ensure adherence to goals set by the higher officials.
To find out the right place for the placement of contents in the website to develop the business and act as a traffic manager for supplier online marketing operations.
Analyze content marketing metrics and make changes as needed
Excellent command over written English
Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
Fairly good knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Gimp, Snagit, MS- Front Page etc would be of benefit in this position.
Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics
Good listening skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet deadlines
Previous experience writing travel related articles is a plus
At least 1+ years writing experience in journalism, travel writing, instructional writing, playwriting/screenwriting, joke writing, social media, narrative design, exhibition/museum design, creative/fiction writing, ad/marketing copy, white papers, product descriptions, or the like
Portfolio of writing, and content samples
